The March 28 2025 edition of Friday Night SmackDown is set to air live from the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom. This episode will feature major matchups, with titles on the line, and a contract signing for a triple-threat match at WrestleMania 41 that promises to add more fuel to an already fiery rivalry.
As WWE moves closer to WrestleMania 41, the European tour is winding down, with the final episodes of Raw and SmackDown emanating from London. Last week, Braun Strowman faced Jacob Fatu in a number one contender match for the United States Championship. Strowman picked up the win by disqualification after interference from Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga, and now, he will face LA Knight this week with the US title on the line.
The newly crowned WWE Tag Team Champions, the Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins), will defend their titles against Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince), the number one contenders. Pretty Deadly earned their opportunity by defeating Los Garzas (Angel & Berto) on the March 7 episode of SmackDown.
The big highlight of the night will be the contract signing for the WrestleMania 41 triple-threat match between Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins. CM Punk revealed this segment during his appearance on the March 24 episode of Raw in Glasgow. Last week, the three stars engaged in a chaotic brawl, and now the contract signing could further escalate tensions.
Punk made sure to remind Roman Reigns that Paul Heyman, his “Wiseman,” owes him a favor. It’s possible that Punk will demand Heyman’s allegiance during the contract signing, adding even more fuel to the fire. The rift between Reigns and Rollins continues to widen, but there have been times when they temporarily united to neutralize a common foe. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a brief reunion, with a Shield powerbomb possibly taking place, with CM Punk as the likely victim. The animosity between the three stars is undeniable, and the contract signing is sure to be chaotic, building even more excitement heading into WrestleMania.
