The December 16, 2024, episode of WWE Raw will broadcast live from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, promising an action-packed night featuring some of the biggest names in WWE. Fans can expect appearances from CM Punk, Gunther, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Damian Priest, Liv Morgan, The New Day, and Drew McIntyre.
After the monumental Saturday Night’s Main Event, where four championship matches and a grudge match between Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn took center stage, the WWE Universe now turns its attention to the fallout on Raw.
In tag team action, World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and JD McDonagh will defend their titles against Erik and Ivar of the War Raiders. General Manager Adam Pearce made the match official last week after Finn Balor launched an attack on both Damian Priest and Gunther. Pearce also added Priest to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at SNME, turning it into a triple threat where Balor ultimately fell short. With the tag titles now on the line, The Judgment Day will aim to bounce back and retain their gold.
The Intercontinental Championship will also be on the line as reigning champion Bron Breakker takes on Ludwig Kaiser. The two last collided at Survivor Series 2024 in a triple-threat match alongside Sheamus, where Breakker successfully defended his title. Kaiser now has a one-on-one opportunity to dethrone Breakker in what promises to be a hard-hitting battle.
CM Punk, who made a triumphant return at Survivor Series and led the OG Bloodline to victory in the WarGames match, is expected to continue his push toward the top. However, his ongoing rivalry with Seth Rollins has taken center stage. Last week, Punk stirred the pot by labeling Rollins a “second-stringer” during an interview with Jackie Redmond. With both men scheduled to appear in Boston, tensions are expected to boil over as their feud builds toward an eventual showdown, which could take place during Raw’s much-anticipated Netflix debut next month.
Boston native Kofi Kingston is also set to appear on Raw. After he and Xavier Woods shocked the WWE Universe by kicking Big E out of The New Day, the duo has been met with overwhelming backlash. Last week, their attempt to explain their actions was drowned out by boos from the Kansas crowd. Kingston will now return to his hometown, hoping for a better reception from the Boston faithful.
With championship matches, fierce rivalries, and the fallout from Saturday Night’s Main Event, this week’s episode of Raw promises to deliver excitement, drama, and surprises. Tune in as WWE’s Red brand continues to set the stage for a blockbuster end to the year.
