On January 28 2025, the NXT episode of WWE will broadcast live from the Center Stage Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. The event will proceed the day after Monday Night Raw, which is also held in the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Aside from the developmental brand, the main roster will also feature various stars. Bayley, Bianca Belair, and Naomi are expected to actively participate in the matches. The Stamford-based promotion has announced multiple matches and segments for the 01/28 show. Details surrounding the match card, this week’s news, schedule, and timetables of NXT’s episode are shown below.
This week, NXT Women’s North American Champion Fallon Henley will contest her title against Shotzi at the Center Stage Theater. The match was scheduled after Shotzi managed to defeat Stephanie Vaquer in the episode aired on 01/14 in a No. 1 contenders match. Champion Henley came later in the match and smashed Vaquer with her title belt, allowing Shotzi to win the contest. The combo of Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson beat the team of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn (The Unholy Union) in the WWE Women’s Tag team Championship #1 Contender Match on 01/14 episode. They are now going to challenge Women’s Tag Champion Belair and Noami this week. For the second time, the tag champions will appear in the NXT ring to defend their titles for the second time.
Multiple former WWE Women’s World Champion Bayley is currently embroiled in a hard fought battle with the former NXT Women’s champion Roxanne Perez. Their face off last week on NXT along with the NXT women’s Champion Giulia and Cora made it into a brawl. Bayley and Giulia celebrated in the ring after Perez and Jade left, the two sides however will face off in this week’s episode to settle their score. Former NXT champion Trick Williams is scheduled to face Wes Lee, this match was arranged after Lee called out Williams in the last episode after his victory against Dion Lennox.
The two starred in a grapevine segment where Lee mocked Williams who gave him a slap across the face. Lee still bore the infamous handprint from the slap during his fight with Dion Lennox last week. ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page will fight against wrestling veteran Cedric Alexander on the developmental brand’s episode on 01/28. This is a rematch from their earlier clash on the 12/31/24 episode of NXT. During this match, Page had not only defeated Alexander, but had attacked him after the fight as well. After the match, Page had used a toolbox to crush Alexander’s hand. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller are scheduled to host the ‘Grayson Waller Effect’ talk show next week in Atlanta, Theory’s home town.
