The October 8, 2024, episode of WWE NXT is set to be the second show of NXT’s new era on the CW network, continuing from last week’s highly anticipated premiere. The episode will take place at The Factory at The District in Chesterfield, Missouri, and promises a card packed with exciting matches and segments featuring top WWE talent.
One of the biggest announcements for this episode is the return of Sexxy Red. Speculation suggests that she may be involved in both in-ring and backstage segments, possibly even hosting the show. This adds a unique flair to the night, as fans look forward to what her appearance will bring. In a marquee matchup, Nathan Frazer and Axiom will defend their NXT Tag Team Championships against the duo of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory from A-Town Down Under. Many believe Frazer and Axiom will come out on top, retaining their titles.
In another must-watch match, Oba Femi will defend his NXT North American Championship against Tony D’Angelo. Despite the possibility of D’Angelo using underhanded tactics with help from his Family, Femi is expected to retain his title. Additionally, Kelani Jordan will join forces with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill in a six-woman tag team match against Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx. The powerhouse team of Jordan, Belair, and Cargill are predicted to win the contest.
The episode will also feature Randy Orton in action against the youngest member of the NXT roster, Je’Von Evans. Evans may put up a strong fight, but Orton is expected to secure the victory while showing respect for the up-and-comer afterward. Meanwhile, Jey Uso, the current Intercontinental Champion, announced on Raw Talk that he will be sticking around in St. Louis to attend NXT this week. While his specific role is still unknown, his appearance is sure to add intrigue to the show.
